Who or what is New Horizons?

New Horizons started in the late 1980s as people from around the Midlands moved to Coventry to start a new church believing that this was something God wanted them to do. In fact people came to the church in the early years from Rugby and Leamington as well. The name “New Horizons” was chosen in 1994 to reflect the church’s ambition always to be reaching forward to learn more about God and to achieve what He wants, and stretch towards our full God given potential i.e. towards the horizon. 

We don’t meet in a special building called a church – the word Church literally means “a community with a purpose” and that is what we are. At New Horizons you will discover a group of people with a shared enthusiasm and a shared experience of knowing Jesus. We function together, love each other and seek to discover and do what God wants us to do in terms of projects and activities - which includes introducing others to who God is.
