Children are a gift from God, not only to their parents, family and friends but to the whole church community. Though parents have the main responsibility for raising children we believe the whole community should contribute as part of a wider family investing in the development of our children. Our aim is to invest so well in our children that they develop the godly beliefs, vision and values that we have ourselves. We want them to be able to pick up the baton and complete the race that we have begun.
To achieve this we need to train and help parents, and also emphasise to the whole church the benefit for children of seeing good living examples of a bible-based lifestyle.
Through Project Heritage, our aim is to systematically train our children in the ways of God. More specifically we want to make sure that certain ingredients are a part of their spiritual diet. Our children’s ministry is based around a framework for the holistic development of our children - body, soul and spirit.
You can expect to find stimulating input sessions for your children on a Sunday up to the age of 11. We will support you as you invest in your child’s spiritual growth. We would also expect all members of the community – who have children or not - to help towards the development of the children’s ministry, both on a Sunday morning and through other events that we are looking to develop for both parents and children through the rest of the week.
